Before dispensing the alginate powder, the sealed container should be shaken to loosen the powder

Measure Water: Use distilled water at room temperature (approximately 25°C). Note: Higher temperatures of the mixing water will shorten the setting time and total working time

Add Powder: Measure the appropriate amount of Hydrosol powder based on the desired volume of the impression. For optimal results, 16 g of powder (2 scoops) is mixed with 38 ml of water.

Mixing: Gradually add the alginate powder to the water while stirring continuously with the spatula. Mix for about 20 seconds until a smooth, homogenous, and bubble-free consistency is achieved.

Note: The optimal technique for producing a smooth mixture is to smooth the material against the sides of the mixing bowl when mixing.

· Load the material and Seat the tray in the patient’s mouth.

· Leave the impression material in the patient’s mouth for the recommended time, according to the instructions on the package.

· Gently remove the impression tray from the patient’s mouth.

· Allow the impression to dry completely before pouring the dental stone or plaster to create a model.
Note: For better results pour the cast as soon as impression making is done.
